Homeowner helps deputies capture burglary suspects

When a homeowner returned to his residence in Howey-in-the Hills, he noticed an unfamiliar car in his driveway. He  proceeded to open his garage door, at which time four masked men ran out of the house, entered the car and fled.

The homeowner attempted to take pictures of the vehicle and then quickly notified the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were able to conduct a traffic stop, at which time the four burglary suspects were taken into custody.

The homeowners were able to identify jewelry and other items located in the suspect vehicle as those taken from their home.

Tramell Richardson Jr., 18, Travis Patten and Treyvious Caruthers, both 19, and a juvenile were all charged with burglary to an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft.
