Headless gator dumped in Rockledge neighborhood

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A jogger got a gruesome surprise during her morning run on Thursday.

A headless gator was found on the side of Timbers West BLVD in Rockledge. 

The woman says the a stench filled the air as she got closer to the gator.

She also said that it was huge, claiming that "this thing was probably 11 or 12 feet."

Wildlife officials are removing the gator's body and investigating.
