Friend, family pay tribute to Kissimmee salon couple

- We are getting more information about who the shooting victims were and why they are so badly missed.  Juan P. Rivera and Luis Conde were a long time couple.  Friends are gathering at their Kissimmee salon to honor their memories.

The tears flow quietly.  People are stunned they are really gone.  Juan P. Rivera and Luis Conde meant so much to family, friends and clients in Kissimmee.  They owned a salon together for several years.  Now people are going there to pray, to leave flowers and to write messages to remember Juan P. and Conde, as people called them.

Maritza Molina and her mother came here to pay their respects.  Molina says, “They were always straight forward. They’d always be laughing. You’d never see them cry. You’d never see them be mad or anything. They would always dance.”

Friends and clients say Juan P. and Conde did so much to inspire young women to follow dreams to try to become models and to work in the fashion industry.

Catherine Huertas Guzman says Juan P. and Conde did her hair and her daughter’s hair for several years.  She said, “They were just always so open hearted with everybody that they knew.  They loved everyone.”
Friends and clients say they were great hair stylists and makeup artists, and they were two of the happiest people you could call friends.

Molina adds, “I woke up today. Me and my mom were going to go to the hospital to see them, but then she came home and told me they were gone.  It’s crazy.”

They are gone but always remembered and loved.
