Flagler County teen missing, may be without medication

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing endangered juvenile in need of medication.

They say that 17-year-old Rickey Wheeler was reported missing by his mother on Friday, September 21st. He was last seen at Madison Green Apartments in Palm Coast. He was also last seen wearing camo army shorts, green Nike sneakers, and a gray shirt with blue stripes. He is about 5'9" and weighs just 105 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Wheeler is said to be diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and may not be taking his medication. He left his home without a cell phone, medication, or bankcard.  He has limited verbal skills. 

Wheeler has  disappeared before, but he was located within two hours on Belle Terre. 

"With the public's assistance getting the word out and being aware you are hopeful you can help us locate him and bring him home so that he can get the needed medication and be safe," Sheriff Rick Staly said.

Deputies say that they have been working throughout the weekend, searching and passing out flyers to businesses along the S.R. 100 corridor. They ask that all businesses and property owner check their property, including the areas of it which may not be frequented. 

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office say that they are also assisting in this search, as they focus their search around the Town Center area.
