Since that terrible June night in 2016, when a madman killed 49 people in Orlando's Pulse Nightclub, a lot of spontaneous memorials have popped up around the city. There are also several set up by private companies.

Now, the first City of Orlando sponsored Pulse memorial is nearly complete, championed by City Commissioner Patty Sheehan.

It sits in a small park a block or so off of East Colonial Drive and uses a labyrinth as its centerpiece. Workers are putting the finished touches on it ahead of a December 20, 2017 dedication ceremony.
