FHP searching for driver in Orlando hit and run

Troopers say a 2006 Honda Accord with windshield damage was left in a driveway of a home near Goldenrod and Curry Ford roads.  Troopers released surveillance of the crash that happened on Tuesday morning, around 4:30 a.m.   Investigators say the man on the scooter was making a U-turn at Forsythe and Colonial Drive, when he was struck from behind.  The 64-year-old victim remains in the hospital.

Investigators say they plan to do DNA tests on the inside of the Honda to help track down the driver.

Sgt. Kim Montes, with the Florida Highway Patrol, said, "This vehicle was stolen 10 hours after the crash which raises a red flag for law enforcement that it was reported 10 hours after and it's never been registered, so this vehicle should never been on the roadway to begin with.We suspect the driver left the scene because the vehicle is not properly registered."

Anyone with information is asked to call FHP.
