FEMA: Volusia County still waiting on hurricane recovery money

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - As hurricane season heats up, Volusia County is still asking for money to pay for the last two storms.

FEMA says that more than 300 projects are still in the process of collecting the money, meaning tens of millions of dollars are uncollected. Some of that is even left over from Hurricane Matthew. 

In the past year, FEMA has pumped $3 bullion into Florida, helping more than 700,000 households.
