Driver refuses to pull over leads deputies on chase

Deputies tried to pull over a suspect very early this morning, but instead, a chase ensued through Central Florida streets.

Fox 35 reporter Andrea Jackson was on scene and said that the chase ended on Shadowlake Drive. Tire tread could be seen on the grassy median where the truck drivers took the truck.

The Seminole County Sheriff's office said this incident all started at 2:30 a.m. when a deputy tried to pull over a silver pick-up truck for having a light out, but the driver would not stop. Deputies followed him and put stop sticks on Lake Mary Road. The driver drove over them and kept going.

Deputies say that the driver then continued driving towards Longwood on the 434 until turning on Wekieva Springs Road. This is where the truck stopped and the driver, identified as 38-year-old Neil Bradley Thomas, was taken into custody for Fleeing and Eluding.

Deputies say that they also searched his vehicle and found small amounts of cocaine. Cocaine was also found in Thomas' wallet. Deputies also found him to be extremely intoxicated and in violation of Driving While Under the Influence.

Nobody was injured and there were no other cars involved.
