Details about Donald Trump's upcoming visit to UCF

- A political rally will be held at the CFE Arena, 12777 Gemini Blvd. N., Saturday, March 5. The event is being run by the campaign. However, UCF is providing the below information to help event attendees and media covering the rally.

UCF is a public university that supports free speech and the exploration of different viewpoints. It is not unusual for our facilities to host guest speakers, concerts and other events. Campaign events are not sponsored by the university, and UCF has not, and will not, endorse any political candidates.

UCF is working closely with campaign security and local law enforcement to ensure a safe and smooth event for all. Law enforcement will be providing security inside the Arena at the discretion of event organizers.

For the Public

Doors to the venue will open at 9 a.m., and the event is set to start at noon. Tickets for the event are being distributed by the campaign online, and entry is first come, first served and at the discretion of event organizers.

This event and another being held on campus at an overlapping time are expected to draw large audiences and create traffic near UCF. Attendees should pay close attention to road signage, officers and parking attendants.

Free parking for the political event will be available in the following locations:

·         Garage D (across from CFE Arena): accessible via North Orion Boulevard or Gemini Boulevard East

·         Garage H (next to Fairwinds Alumni Center): accessible via Gemini Boulevard North

·         Garage F (behind CFE Arena): accessible via North Orion Boulevard

·         E lots (by Bright House Networks Stadium): accessible via North Orion Boulevard

To ensure pedestrian safety, please be aware that a portion of Gemini Boulevard North in front of the CFE Arena will be closed to vehicular traffic as early as 6 a.m. Saturday.

In addition, East Plaza Drive will be closed to all vehicular traffic. West Plaza Drive will be accessible only for those parking in Garage F and for residents of Towers III and IV.

At the discretion of event organizers, no signs and no large bags or backpacks will be permitted in the CFE Arena. A full list of prohibited items is available at
