Deputy transported to hospital for smoke inhalation after Orange County house fire breaks out

An Orange County deputy had to be transported to a hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at a home on 41st Street.

Orange County Fire Rescue said that their units responded to a home on 41st Street after receiving calls of a house fire.

Upon arrival, the home was fully involved and exposed to a building nearby. Occupants were reported to be out of the home already.

A second fire at another small home broke out later.  There reportedly was no indication that residents were inside.

One Orange County Sheriff's Office deputy was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for smoke inhalation, Orange County Fire Rescued said.

They also said that fire crews completed extensive overhaul in light of significant trash surrounding first home.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
