The Marion County Sheriff's Office arrested 42-year-old Justin Karreals, 56-year-old Jeannie Hayden, and 28-year-old Tiffany Stegall after they stole a puppy from a man and ran over the man's legs with their car in the parking lot of the Walmart on South US Highway 441 on Tuesday night.

Deputies said that the victim said that he was advertising his German Shepard puppies for sale on social media when he was contacted by the suspects in reference to his post. After they all agreed on the purchase of one of his puppies, the victim brought the puppy to the Walmart so he and the suspects could conduct the transaction in a public place.

However, deputies say the victim said that when he got the Walmart, defendants Karrels and Stegall took the puppy from him without providing payment and attempted to leave. The victim tried to stop the suspects, but Karrels struck him and the victim ultimately ended up on the ground.

Defendant Hayden then reportedly drove over the victim's legs while trying to leave the scene. Multiple witnesses observed this incident and law enforcement was immediately notified.

The sheriff's office says that three suspects were apprehended at the scene by deputies and the puppy was returned to its owner.

Karrels and Stegall are being charged with Robbery -- No Firearm or Weapon. Hayden has been charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. All three are being held in the Marion County Jail.
