Deputies search for suspects after pursuit

Seminole County Sheriffs Office is searching for suspects after they fled from a traffic stop.

The sheriff's office says a deputy was in the area of Ridge Road and Hwy 17/92 following a report of an overnight burglary at a Metro PCS.

Deputies say a vehicle was seen going through the red light at State Road 436 and Hwy 17/92. A traffic stop was initiated, but the suspect vehicle didn't stop and kept going down Hwy 17/92.

According to SCSO, the deputy stopped the pursuit and Longwood Police came to assist and deployed stop-sticks near the intersection at Longdale Avenue.

Deputies believe four people left the vehicle and ran into the woods on foot.

Seminole County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle, a silver Nissan, was found to be a stolen vehicle that had burglary tools inside when recovered.

It is unknown at this time if this is related to the burglary at the Metro PCS.

Seminole County Sheriff's Office is still searching for the suspects and the investigation continues.
