ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office say a woman was carjacked after getting involved in a crash. They say the person who bumped into her car is one of three suspect in this case.
"She was simply waiting at a red light, along Conroy-Windermere Road, when deputies say she was hit," explained Deputy Ingrid Tejada Monforte, spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office. "She had stopped at the light and someone from behind struck her.
Deputies say the victim drove into a bus loop at Chain of Lakes Middle School to exchange information with the driver, but that's when she realized she was targeted by three people.
"They purposely bumped her car, forcibly dragged her out of the vehicle and took off in her vehicle," Monforte said.
Deputies found the stolen vehicle in Volusia County and one person has been arrested.
