Deputies: Robbery suspects threatened victims with stun gun

Alex Smith had a scary encounter Tuesday night with a man, a woman and a stun gun at the Collegiate Village Inn.

"I was about to ride the elevator, and they were asking me if I wanna buy some drugs and stuff, and I said no," Smith said.  After a few more words were exchanged, Smith said they rushed him and zapped him with the stun gun.

Smith wasn't hurt but Orange County deputies say a few hours earlier three student at the University of Central Florida were in their apartment when there was a knock at the door. They tell deputies one of the victim's opened the door and two suspects forced their way into the apartment.

They say the suspects were a man and woman in their 20s.  Deputies say the man started punching one of the victims and the woman had a stun gun and threatened to use it.  The suspects demanded to know where money and narcotics were located and eventually left after stealing a laptop, cell phones and wallets from the victims.

Smith says he will keep his eye out now and warn others.  "I'm telling my friends in here they need to lock up more, cuz they are too lax with it."
