Deputies investigate armed robbery at Mims gas station

Brevard County deputies are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Mims gas station. 

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office says that they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on September 17th at approximately 5:50 a.m. at the Chevron Gas Station on Highway 46 in Mims. 

The sheriff's office describes the suspect as a black male between the age of 40 to 50 years old. They say he has dreadlocks and was observed wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, a gold ring on his left hand, and a gold necklace. 

They go on to say that the suspect was observed on surveillance video entering the business and approaching the counter. Once there, the suspect is said to have displayed a silver handgun and demanded cash from the register. The suspect reportedly collected about $300 to $400 in cash and left the store.

The suspect was seen entering the driver's seat of a white 4-door vehicle, similar to a Toyota Corolla or Camry, that was parked near the gas pumps, reports the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. He was reportedly last seen driving west on Highway 46.
