Deputies hope to identify 'Batman' robber

- Orange County Sheriff’s Office investigators want to know if you know "Batman," or at least the identity of the suspect known as the "Batman" robber.  They say a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s — who sometimes wears a Batman mask — has robbed at least eight stores in East Orange County since late January. They now have composite sketch of what he looks like.

According to Sgt. Craig Hall, the suspect robbed a Family Dollar on February 21 and the clerk was able to get a look at his face.  Investigators hope the sketch, combined with the memorable Batman costume will help someone who knows the robber put two and two together.  “I'm hoping someone that has seen that individual wearing [those items] on a different occasion might give us some help," Hall said.

According to the sheriff’s office the suspect has used a black or silver-and-black handgun to threaten employees at  dollar stores, food stores and possible a paint store.  The left-handed suspect wears a gray glove on his right hand.
They say he typically strikes between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Anyone with information about the suspect can leave an anonymous tip for investigators by calling Crimeline at 1-800-432-TIPS.
