JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 News) - Saman is one brave 5-year-old.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office recently honored the boy for saving his mother's life.
According to a tweet from the Sheriff's Office, Saman's estranged father approached his mother and him as they were walking to school and shot his mother in the chest.

The husband is currently awaiting trial, according to the post.
To show their gratitude to Saman, Sheriff Mike Williams did the honor of swearing Saman in as a junior officer for the Sheriff's Office. They say they hope that Saman will one day join JSO.
