ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are investigating a suspicious incident, after they say a stranger was seen outside a teenager's bedroom window.
"This guy needs to be caught," says, Jay Santana, father of the 15-year-old girl. "My daughter was very nervous. Yesterday was the first time they came home; they didn't want to be in the house."
Deputies say surveillance cameras recorded the stranger on video on Friday morning, around
"Goes to that window and hides in the bushes, and obviously, if you see, that's my daughter's bedroom," Santana explains.
He says his daughter's classmate walked up the driveway around the same time. He told Santana that he heard something in the bushes.
"He thought it was cat, and when he heard the noise again, he saw the guy running out and run to the pickup truck."
Video shows the man parked his vehicle a couple of houses away.
"Dark-colored pickup truck," Santana says.
Surveillance video shows the man was outside the window for around six minutes. Santana says it's possible he could have seen his daughter getting dressed for school from the side of the blinds.
"She mentioned she was going to go to the counselor at school," he explains.
Deputies are now trying to identify the man and find out what he was doing outside Santana's home.
"There's no reason why he should be in this area at all or my property!"
