Saturday morning a few firefighters with the Daytona Beach Fire Department competed in the annual Easter Beach Run at Daytona Beach.
The run is held every year by the Easter Beach Run committee in Daytona. The city's first ever race began back in 1967 as a way for visiting college students to celebrate the holiday. The event was so successful it became a tradition for the Volusia County community!
But it's not just about the fun! The race is professionally chip-timed by the 5K Race Director and prize money is awarded to the first through third male and female winners of the four-mile race.
