Daytona Beach library closed indefinitely due to Irma

No hushed voices going on at the Daytona Beach City Island Library.  Irma clean up is under way.

Dumpsters outside are filled with the more than 5 thousand dollars worth of library materials and debris.
A county spokeswoman tells us about eight inches of water flooded into the library's children's department.
They're hoping to save the rest of the books and computers.

All day long, people stopped by to drop off or pick up library books at City Island, only to come face to face with this.   Huge machines and tubes up against the front doors, airing the place out, and a quick peek inside, the carpeting has been removed and a good three feet of the drywall from the floor up.

Any due materials you got from the City Island Library need to be returned to any other Volusia County library.
