Couple sought as persons of interest in stabbing death in custody

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office tell Fox 35 the couple being sought as persons of interest in the stabbing death of an 81-year-old man are in custody.

The Sheriff's Office says Tessie Gresham, 45, and her boyfriend, David Buchan, 53, were placed under a Baker Act hold at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, but deputies handling the stabbing death call were unaware until late Sunday night.

The two were named as persons of interest after Julian Gresham, 81, was found dead in his Taft home on 3rd Street at around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The Sheriff's Office released a photo of a car they say looks similar to the victim's 2006 Ford Taurus that the couple was believed to be driving in.

Deputies say that car has not been located.

Deputies are asking anyone who might know the whereabouts of the car to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
