Crews work to repair water main break that flooded downtown Orlando streets

Crews have been working overnight on a water main break that shut down part of Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando on Monday.

Video shows law enforcement urging a man to get out of his SUV, which was stuck in the road as water gushed out of the ground.

"It just felt like, you just dropped. Kind of how like, on a roller coaster when the ride goes backwards.'

The water main break happened at the intersection of Park Lake Street and Orange Avenue.

Drivers who go from Ivanhoe over to Orange and Colonial Drive,  you won't be able to go past Mark Street. You will need to take a detour.

Orlando Utilities Commission says the 12-inch pipe that burst is 132-years-old, built way back in 1887. Apartments and businesses in the area lost water but they have it back now. They do have to boil their water for the next two days because of this break.

Fox 35's Sydney Cameron says that crews will be laying asphalt down on the ground and then they may have to repaint part of the road.
