The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says that the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike are shut down at mile marker 240 due to a fuel spill, which is the result of a semi-truck versus school bus crash.

They went on to say that the school bus was trying to do a u-turn on the Florida Turnpike using the center median. They turned right in front of a semi-truck, who crashed right into them. The school bus fell on its side. The semi-truck crashed into the southbound lanes and experienced a fuel leak.

There were no children reported on board, but there were minor injuries to ten adults on the bus. FHP says that the bus is not currently a school bus, but they aren't sure who owns it.

Southbound traffic is being re-routed at mile marker 244.
