Clinton to visit Central Florida on Monday

After Republican Donald Trump campaigned this week in Daytona Beach and Jacksonville, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is ready to make a campaign trip to the politically crucial "I-4 Corridor" and to South Florida.

Clinton will hold rallies Monday in St. Petersburg and Kissimmee, her campaign announced Friday. The Kissimmee rally will be held at Exhibition Hall, Osceola Heritage Park, 1875 Silver Spur Lane, and is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with doors open to the public at 4 p.m.

Clinton also is expected to visit Miami Gardens over the weekend.

Florida is a critical swing state in the November election, and the region along Interstate 4 from Daytona Beach to the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro area could be pivotal. Clinton also hopes to win large margins in Miami and other areas of Democrat-rich South Florida, as Republicans typically do well in conservative North Florida.
