Central Florida counties cleaning up widespread storm damage

Several counties in Central Florida are cleaning up after major storms caused widespread damage on Friday.

Ocala faired well through the storm, although some areas did see downed trees and branches. The system affected several other counties throughout the day.

Alachua County saw several downed trees trees and power lines.  Firefighters had to use chainsaws to free a horse that got stuck after a tree fell on it. The horse suffered only minor injuries.

In Volusia County, heavy downpours caused some slowdowns for drivers.

Temperatures dropped at the beaches, but the chilly weather did not stop one family from enjoying a rainy-beach day.

"It's nice. We don't care because he was having fun. It was too cold, but fine. I like cold."

Meanwhile in Satellite Beach, a Fox 35 viewer sent in video as wind battered their lanai so badly it needs to be repaired. The storm ripped apart their pool screen.

Fortunately, conditions improved throughout the night and the Easter weekend is looking sunny and beautiful.
