Business soars for Mt. Dora concealed carry holster company

When Mike Vedder made his first concealed carry pistol holster, he never imagined it would turn into a business.

However, six years later, his Mt. Dora-based Vedder Holsters is growing by leaps and bounds. Vedder says sales last year topped $3 million. He expects sales this year to surpass $6 million.

Vedder credits the company's success to a solid product and excellent customer service. However, he says there have been other factors that seem to have caused periodic spikes in sales. He says essentially every time there is a mass shooting the company experiences increased sales.
