ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The busiest day of the holiday travel season is underway, as the Orlando International Airport expects more than 162,000 travelers to pass through on Sunday.
That 162,000 is part of the 2.7 million travelers coming in and out of the Orlando International Airport this holiday season, which runs from December 21st through January 8th.
Airport officials are hoping that travelers use new parking garage 'C,' which is $2 per day less expensive than garages 'A' and 'B.' They also hope that travelers have a smoother time getting to their flights this year because they have wrapped up a lot of the construction that was happening this time last year.
Travelers say for the busiest travel day of the season, things are going smoothly.
