Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff's Office are investigating after the body of a man was found in the Econlockhatchee River.

A passerby observed what appeared to be a deceased man floating in the water along the shoreline and tangled in the vegetation near the bridge.

"Deputies on scene confirmed it to be the body of an adult male which appeared to have been there for a while.  Detectives, CSI, and the Medical Examiner all responded," said Jeff Williamson with the Sheriff's Office.

Authorities identified the deceased as 44-year-old Alexis Leonel Correa-Rivera.  No foul play is suspected, they say.
