Body found in burning car in Brevard County

MIMS, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A body was found inside a burned car at the corner of Bethune and Wiley Avenues in Mims.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office says that they got a call around 3:15 p.m. about a car burning. The car, located in the woods, was put out by the fire department. When the fire was extinguished, they realized there was a body inside the car.

Deputies Thursday said that they identified the body as 38-year-old Tony Butler. Investigators are treating his death as a homicide. Please call Crimeline if you have any information on this case.
