App helps voters analyze issues

A new non-partisan smartphone application created in Central Florida aims to engage voters and deliver information about public policy issues.

"It is a place where people can actually go and see issues side by side and take action,” said Becky Kip, Founder of Hear my Voice.

Users won’t find candidates on the app, but they will find information about the issues that candidates talk about.
Hear My Voice offers users side-by-side comparisons of upcoming bills and political on the national and state levels.

Florida voters can find information about two constitutional amendments dealing with solar energy that will appear on the primary ballot on August 30.

The app, which is available for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store, will also text or email users reminders about upcoming elections and registration deadlines, allow voters to start the registration process, and help citizens connect with their lawmakers.

Kip is a resident of Lutz, Fla.  The app was built by Teeps, a mobile application development team in Winter Park.  Kip's editorial team and marketing team are based in Lake Mary.
