ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - University of Central Florida Police on Sunday arrested two men accused of breaking into a car on campus.
Investigators say a student saw the men inside her car and remotely activated her alarm before calling 911. Police say officers got to the area fast and were able to track down the suspects.
Police say Bailey Bunnett and Roberto Cruz, both 19, were arrested. Investigators say the pair is suspected in several other car break-ins at UCF.
“They came to campus just because they know there's a large group of cars on campus and unfortunately many students leave property inside their cars so they just thought it would be an easy score for them,” said UCF police commander James Mangan.
Police say anyone who had their car burglarized on campus recently should contact them if they haven’t already filed a report.
