2 shot near Celebration in 'domestic dispute'

CELEBRATION, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened in the area of Interstate 4 and World Drive, near Celebration.

Witnesses told authorities that the shooting appeared to be the result of a domestic dispute.  The victims were outside a small silver sedan, when deputies arrived.  

"There were several passersby who stopped to render aid to the victims, and preliminary reports show this is an isolated incident, perhaps domestic in nature," said Major Ruiz with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

New details revealed on Wednesday that the couple was arguing when the man shot the woman while she was driving. He then shot himself. 

Maj. Ruiz said there were no other victims and no suspect was being sought in the case.  He said a handgun was recovered at the scene.  

The two remain in critical condition.
