120 people evacuated after rains cause roof collapse
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Heavy rains caused a roof to collapse at a Daytona Beach apartment complex.
Officials say it happened around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, at The Overlook at Daytona Apartments.
They say sections of the roof failed in the south tower, causing flooding on every floor of the 6 story complex. Approximately 120 residents were evacuated by firefighters.
No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is now helping the displaced individuals until they can return.
