Georgians, who went to Las Vegas for the music festival and were caught in the middle of the massacre, are telling their story.

A metro Atlanta man, who was there with his wife, recounted what it was like to be in the crowd in the terrifying moments after the bullets started flying. Mark Rigor was overcome with emotions and admits he is now dealing with survivor’s guilt.

The Paulding County man and his wife Beccie were at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas over the weekend. They were there with their family when shots rang out. At first, he thought the shooter was in the crowd.

Rigor said what started off as one of the best weekends he could remember quickly turned horrific.

A video, his niece took, shows the crowd ducking for cover and urging others to do the same.

Once they realized what it was, within seconds, he and his wife were on the run, hitting the ground four times, every time they heard a break in the gunfire.

Rigor said the images and sounds of that night will be with them forever and while he knows he and his wife of 28 years are blessed to be here today, their hearts cannot stop hurting for the lives lost and those injured that fateful night.
