Two juveniles shot after bullets fly into Orlando park

Two juveniles are recovering in the hospital after Orlando Police officers say several men got out of a car and started shooting into a park.

At around 6:18 p.m. on Monday, police say an officer was on patrol in the area of Poppy Park, on Lescot Lane, when the shots were fired.

Officers estimate about 30 or 40 people were at the park when two young people were shot with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives say after a short car chase, the suspect vehicle was stopped near Lescot Lane and Elese Street.

Police say the suspects were detained.
