Deputies: Teen arrested after carjacking, crash

Orange County deputies arrested a 19-year-old they said carjacked a woman then crashed late Friday night.

Deputies said 19-year-old Jahva McClinton tried to carjack a 30-year-old woman at 2025 Rivertree Circle around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The victim told deputies McClinton opened her car door and pointed a handgun at her while ordering her out of the car.  The victim screamed for help and McClinton pistol whipped her in the face, deputies said.

McClinton ran away after the victim continued to scream.

Deputies said McClinton approached another woman around 11:30 p.m., Friday at 1648 Holden Ave.  He pointed the gun at her, demanded her money and keys and the victim gave him her purse.

McClinton snatched her car keys and took off in her car, deputies said.

McClinton was booked into the Orange County jail where he will face a judge on Sunday.
