1 dead, 3 injured after stabbing in Apopka

Orange County deputies are investigating a stabbing that left one person dead, and others injured early Sunday morning in Apopka.

Deputies said they were called to a home on South Apollo Drive around 4 a.m. Sunday about a 911 emergency.

When deputies arrived, they said they found two men and two women who had been stabbed.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office says Daniel Leija, 24, is a suspect in the stabbing and was found inside the home and taken into custody at the time of the incident.

One of the victims, Marcos Alvarez-Jiminez, 23, was taken to Apopka Hospital and died around 4:30 a.m., Sunday.  The other three victims were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries but are expected to recover, according to a report.

Deputies are continuing to investigate.
