Silver Springs man charged with possession of child pornography

The Marion County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes unit on Tuesday arrested a man after they said he admitted to possessing child pornography.

Robert Earl Toole also showed detectives his collection of child porn. The child porn was stored on hard drives located in his residence, detectives say.

Investigators said they also located several images and videos depicting sexual abuse and voyeurism that appear to be homemade. When confronted with this information, they said Toole confirmed that he made the videos.

Toole is currently being charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of possession of marijuana over 20 grams and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Marion County Jail on $406,000 bond.

If anyone has any information regarding Toole and any of his possible victims, please call Sgt. Michael Dodd at 352-369-3535 or the Marion County Crime Stoppers at 352-368-STOP.
