2 Full Sail University students robbed at gunpoint on, near Full Sail campus

The Orange County Sheriff's Office is searching for two armed males it says robbed a victim near Full Sail University and tried to rob another on campus Thursday morning.

The first victim was walking near Steak 'n Shake by the Berkshire Apartments when two males, one armed with a handgun, walked up and demanded his money, the Sheriff's Office said.

The victim did as he was told and the two males ran away.

No one was hurt, said the Sheriff's Office.

The second victim was walking on Full Sail's campus when the same two males approached him. This victim ignored them and kept walking. One of the males tried to grab his backpack off his body, but the Sheriff's Office says the victim wrestled it away and ran inside Full Sail to tell security.

K-9 units tried to track the suspects. During the track, the Sheriff's Office says employees of the Toyota dealership across the street from Full Sail flagged deputies down. They said they saw two people matching the description of the suspects hiding between the cars.

Those people were questioned and released, deputies said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
