1 dead, 1 detained in Cocoa death investigation
A death investigation is underway in Cocoa, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say two people were involved. One person has died. Another has been detained for questioning.
The shooting happened on Venus Drive in the Space Coast Gardens community at around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Some witnesses said it sounded like a shootout.
Deputies are expected on scene overnight as they continue to investigate.
