The Volusia County School Board is meeting Tuesday to discuss requiring students to wear uniforms.
Right now a majority of parents support the proposal and board members are expected to approve the plan which would go into place next school-year.
This comes following the district's recent survey which got responses from 21,000 parents, students and teachers.
According to the survey 49% are in support of uniforms and 47% are against them.
The School Board would still have to decide which students should wear uniforms.
Some say the biggest problems are with older students wearing inappropriate clothes and some students feeling left out for not being able to afford popular clothing.
Even if it is approved School Board members would still have to hold 2 public hearings and a final meeting to vote on the issue before next school year.
