48-year-old Andrew Vasquez is still in shock after being robbed two days ago. Police say it happened outside of the Days Inn on I-Drive and are looking for three suspects.
Andrew says he went out to a nearby convenience store at around 2 a.m. to get milk for his 2-year-old son. On his way back police say he was attacked.
Police say the men got away with Andrew's cell phone. Andrew went to the Days Inn hotel lobby where he asked a worker to call 911. "She didn't help at all, I had to go knock on the doors to get help because she turned me away."
While the worker told FOX 35 that she offered help, Andrew says it was another employee who let him use the phone.
A Wyndham spokesperson released this statement saying, "We regret how this incident was handled and are working with the hotel to reinforce best practices for the future."
Andrew says he wants his money back from the hotel. Meanwhile he has a message for the thieves, "You know what you did, you were wrong. There's lots of other ways to get money."
Officers say the hotel is cooperating fully in the investigation. Meanwhile anyone with information on the suspects should call the Orlando Police Department.
