ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Central Florida and Oneblood are partnering to host what they hope will be the largest Orlando United blood drive in Central Florida.
The blood drive is happening Monday at Bright House Networks Stadium on UCF’s campus from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
250 of the 500 available appointment slots have already been booked as of Monday morning.
Walk-in appointments are available, however you can still make an appointment at https://www.oneblood.org/donate-now/
You can also find out if you are a bone marrow donor match for 20-month-old Korbyn.
Korbyn is the son of UCF engineering alumna Hillary Martinez.
Korbyn has an aggressive form of leukemia, and his family has spent the past year in and out of hospitals while he fights the disease.
You do not need an appointment, nor do you have to donate blood to find out if you are a match.
You can stop by the “Be the Match” tent to see if you can help Korbyn and his family.
UCF’s cheerleaders will perform at the drive and donors will receive a t-shirt and a free ticket to attend Theatre UCF’s production of The World Goes ‘Round.
