Police: Two bikers shot after dispute in Leesburg

- Police are investigating a shooting that left two men injured in Leesburg.

The incident happened Saturday night outside of a Circle K store on West Main Street, according to the Leesburg Police Department.

Police responded around 8 p.m. for reports of shots fired and located two injured men.

On Sunday, police identified the men as David Donovan, 41, and Marc Knotts, 48.

Investigators say one of the men was wearing a ballistic vest when the shooting happened.

Police say the incident is apparently related to a dispute between motorcycle clubs.

The two men, each from separate clubs, were flown to hospitals for medical treatment.

Officials say they are in stable condition.

Police say the shooting happened just two and a half miles from the heart of Bike Fest in Downtown Leesburg.

Leesburg Police Lt. Joe Iozzi told Fox 35 that members of the two biker clubs were seen at the event earlier Saturday, before the shooting with no problems.

It's not clear whether the men involved in the shooting attended Bike Fest.

Police say event security has been tight with full patrols and dozens of officers.
