Drivers are being warned to be extra cautious Monday morning.
There's a major lane shift on Interstate-4 near downtown Orlando.
Crews worked overnight to finish the lane shift along Lake Ivanhoe and move the westbound lanes to new temporary lanes.
Overcoming weather delays, the I-4 Ultimate Project Team is prepared for its first major traffic change.
The change creates new temporary lanes between the Ivanhoe Boulevard and Colonial Drive entrance and exit ramps.
The work started overnight on Saturday.
The i-4 ultimate project is rebuilding 21 miles of I-4 from Kirkman Road in Orange County to State Road 434 in Seminole County, adding two new tolled express lanes in each direction, replacing more than 140 bridges, updating 15 major interchanges
The project is expected to be complete by 2021.
