Titusville searching for man who robbed motel at gunpoint

Police are looking for a man who they say is sticking up motels. And the biggest clue who he is could be the car cops say he was driving.

Police say these surveillance images show an armed man walking into the Days Inn off I-95 and highway 50 in Titusville. Police say he left in this convertible Volvo, also captured on surveillance, after he failed to get any money. Not long afterwards, the suspect showed up to another Days Inn, this time off I-95 and 524 in Cocoa, and in that same convertible Volvo.

As it turns out, the biggest clue came from the getaway car, that convertible blue Volvo, which Cocoa Police found after that tip came in from Titusville Police. The vehicle was discovered just a few miles south at the Budget Hotel off 520 and I-95. That led police to a hotel room, where a female acquaintance of the suspect was found. She was searched, frisked, and detained.

Police have not charged the female at this time, but they are hoping after they question her they will have more leads and figure out the whereabouts of the male suspect.
