SunRail expansion in Volusia Co. could be back on track

SunRail could be getting back on track in Volusia County.
Congressman John Mica is working to figure out how to get service expanded further into Volusia County after the project has hit yet another roadblock.
Mica will be meeting with officials in Debary to talk about the expansion Monday.
Currently, the commuter train makes a stop in Debary which Mica says is one of its busiest stations but he says moving it past there is going to be a challenge.
One idea is having SunRail stop in Orange City where Mica believes ridership will be stronger.
Mica, a staunch supporter of the Sunrail system, believes that once it expands to the airport in the next few years it will be a game changer.
At this point, Mica says he doesn't know where the money will come from to move the next phase forward but he's confident Volusia will see more SunRail stops.
