VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Daytona Beach Fire Department responded to a semi-truck accident Tuesday morning. The crash also included 2 other passenger vehicles.
The accident occurred on I-95 underneath the LPGA overpass. One person was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
According to authorities damage from the crash caused the semi-truck's saddle to leak approximately 60 gallons of fuel onto the grass in the median. Volusia County Fire Rescue's HazMat team is on the scene assessing the situation to determine cleanup operations.
Traffic is still open in the southbound lanes of I-95, but only one lane is currently accessible.
