Police: FDLE investigating officer-involved shooting

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened early Saturday morning.
Around 12:05 a.m., Saturday, Orlando police officers tried to do a traffic stop on a white charger at 5100 North Lane.  Police said three men were inside the car.
Police said as the officers got out of their cruiser, the driver started to put the charger in reverse in an attempt to get away.
As the officers approached the car, the driver went forward and nearly hit one of the officers.  That officer fired his weapon, officials said.
The driver fled but crashed into an abandoned home at 4888 Stony Brook Lane, police said.
Police said the driver, 17-year-old Trevon Lamons was shot by police and taken to the hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition.
The other two men in the car ran off and have not been caught.
Police said the charger was stolen out of Orange County.  The officer involved in the shooting was put on paid administrative leave while FDLE conducts their investigation.
