Police car set on fire

Daytona Beach police say that one of their cars was set on fire Sunday morning.

Officers say that the marked police car was discovered fully engulfed in fire around 2:30 a.m. on Keech Street.

The fire department was able to put the fire out.

Officers say they found a note stating, “Black Lives Matter A. Sterling P Castile" and then referred to police using profanity.

The State Fire Marshall will investigate the incident as it appears to be an act of arson.

Police say the car had been placed on the street as a “ghost car” and was unoccupied.
